Raenelle James is a managing director in the financial reporting practice at Equity Methods. With the firm since 2007, Raenelle oversees engagement teams handling customized equity compensation accounting for a diverse portfolio of organizations, from pre-IPO companies to Fortune 100 multinationals.

Known for her strong listening skills and thoughtful approach to client service, Raenelle harnesses the breadth of the firm’s resources to ensure that even the most complex equity compensation situations are managed smoothly. Whether a client is preparing to go public, grappling with international reporting and recharge issues, or pursuing concurrent acquisitions and spin-offs, Raenelle shepherds the development of bespoke solutions that meet the client’s multifaceted objectives. A flexible professional who lands on her feet, she is a veteran of aggressive deadlines and cross-functional projects that span accounting, tax, and human resources.

Raenelle serves frequently as a conference speaker and webcast presenter for the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and the Global Equity Organization. She also develops presentations for the Equity Methods webcast series and delivers workshops on share-based payment reporting for corporate accounting and tax teams.

Raenelle holds undergraduate degrees in accountancy and finance from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Notre Dame.
