On January 1, 2021, Colorado’s enhanced Equal Pay for Equal Work Act will take effect. The law prohibits discriminatory pay practices on the basis of gender, and applies to companies with employees in the state. This adds Colorado to the growing list of states with pay equity legislation that is stricter than federal law.
